Artistic process
In 1994, Giuseppe Benedetto started using glass, steel, aluminum and bronze following his mémoire in his master. His approach is based around the idea that objects tell stories and memories; his creations are inspired by myths and symbolism.
Giuseppe Benedetto's art is made with the thought of how it interacts with time. This interaction is perceived on three different planes: the physical use of matter by time and relative expectancy of materials; perception of space-time as a material; memories and remembrance as a manifestation of time. Giuseppe Benedetto's intentions are to entertain the eye using transparency and sequential forms. |
His art is recognized for its formal language evoking myths and legends, contemporary archetypes and society aspects, as well as respect for our environment.
His creations are often seen in the shapes of totems, sculptures or murals. Giuseppe Benedetto's ultimate objective is to develop a new formal language, aiming to give life to large living spaces such as public places. |
